yeah….i think i hit an all time low yesterday. it was like ninty-freakin’-five degrees here yesterday, so i pretty much just camped it in the cool a/c.
so, because there is absolutely nothing on daytime tv, what do i get sucked into? oh yeah, the home and garden channel. you know, all those interior design shows. whether it be fixing a whole house to sell, or just re-designing a room….i saw it all. oh! can’t forget the wood/utility shed i now know how to build too. least that isn’t as rich on the gay side as elegant window treatments to really bring out the depth of a room while adding some splashes of color!
yikes…..shoot me.
even better? i also sat through some show that was like wife swap…..but for hairdressers! ahahahaha! was pretty funny though. they took this hermosa beach LA kinda rocker dude and swapped him with a lady from missouri that runs a hair salon in a retirement community. needless to say, dude wasn’t so slick at doing perms….and the lady had no clue how to do those foil highlight things. or whatever it is all the girls get out here. personally, i just call it “skunkhead”. it’s so overdone and unnatural it can only marvel that of some kinda wild animal.

on the plus side, i did manage to catch a flick on hbo that i hadn’t seen. “stay”? shoot, i hadn’t even heard of it. it’s from “finding neverland” director marc forster. not sure how i really feel about it, cause i think i need to watch it again. somewhat sorta david lynchesque….but worthy of a watch. visually it’s a fun watch…and well, naomi watts never hurts things.

anyways….today….to make up for the crap yesterday…i am doing nothing but watching baseball. ‘cept the games don’t start till 4 o’clock. ugh.

i didn’t tell anyone…..but i was actually in the new simpsons movie coming up. yep! that’s right!

YAY!
pifft. like it matters to me. that’s the thing that sucks about not working a consistent thing. all the days seem to run into one another. i guess, i have others around me to remind me that it’s tuesday and how long till the weekend. either way….it’s kinda a drag when it’s the weekend and all that means is the business world is shutdown for 2 days.
i have an interview this afternoon though. i am actually pretty excited about it cause the job is dealing with photos, but not necessarily in a web environment. not to mention, it’s like right on the beach. so…if this works out, i may just have to move closer to the beach when my lease is up next year. it’s not that far now, but holy crap would i love to be able to bike to work again. here? trying to bike anywhere is just asking to become roadkill. kinda sucks.
i should add, it’s not like i am big on the beach. i mean, shoot, you couldn’t pay me to get in the gross polluted california water. it’s a little cooler there though, so that’s always nice come the middle of july. it’s pretty much been seasonally perfect here anyways, so i really don’t know what it matters. I mean, can’t really complain about sunny and 80-85 everyday.
I dunno….we’ll see how this pans out.

my buddy jayson and his wife were out here a week ago. finally got the pics from their trip, and we managed to get one of us at the dodger game.
side note: the dude that took this picture for us? yeah, he was actually sitting behind us, and about 10 minutes later…..he sneezed abuncha hotdog into into leah’s hair. disgusting. needless to say….my thoughts? “welcome to los angeles!”
was a good time though. naturally me and jay got some beers in us, so leah had to drive us home. :p

when it comes to user generated video uploads….this has got to be the best site there is.
why?
cause there is a community there that isn’t that of ripped tv shows or funny commercials….it’s real user content. the “film school” of internet video sites i suppose. so much great content, so check it out if you already haven’t.
just an example? apparently abuncha members got together and submitted some clips. the theme? simultaneous capture. apparently they all captured some video, all across the world, all at the same time….
