seriously….hate them!

nevermind the gas prices….this lady stopped me on my way to work today, to inform me that my brake lights are completely dead.

awesome.

“oh, it’s probably just a fuse, no big deal.” i think to myself.

yeah, nope. couldn’t be easy like it was just being the bulbs either…..nope, it’s the damn brake light switch that is triggered by the pedal. which, after looking at it…and googling shit….i figured that’s what it was. so i took it to a firestone place i use sometimes…cause it was the only place open at 5:30 on a friday. needless to say, it’s the switch, and they can’t get the part in until the morning. ugh. fine. i am almost home already, so not a big deal.

BUT! of course it’s gonna cost me $140 that i really don’t have at the moment….so that figures.

i’d like to get at least another year or two outta my civic, but no A/C, the paint being burned away by the sun…..and i am about to just drive it into the ocean.

it’s official, i hate cars.

looking ahead though, i really like the scion TC’s…..they are made by toyota and fairly cheap….but don’t get the best gas mileage, and well,….i really can’t afford a new one. a car payment would kill me….

hey! if you guys ever need something to cut their price in half for 2x the features…..just ask me! i’ll make sure to go out and buy it’s competitor 2 weeks beforehand!

in case that doesn’t make sense….basically, apple announced the new iphones this week. they are 2x the power for half the cost of the 1st model. actually….that’s really sweet. $200 is the price on the 8GB one, and well….i am kinda pissed i just bought a new phone without waiting to see what the new iphones were gonna be.

well, not really….the iphones are still kinda too big for my taste. they still can’t do video conferencing, and the data plan on them is $10 more than what i am currently paying on my phone. so all in all….i am not all that disappointed with what i got. it was a little more expensive, but with the cheap data plan….i woulda still been paying more for an iphone. so it’s cool. i’ll wait till the next one.

on tuesday june, 17th….mozilla is officially releasing their new firefox 3 browser. the beta has been out for about 8-9 months….and honestly, i’ve just been using that all this time. it’s faster, more secure, more customizable, and just everything that internet explorer fails to be.

more importantly….it’s a good company. looking out for users and not just another mega giant trying to force feed you their shitty software. plus….while it’s not 100% (nothing is) spyware-secure, the chances of getting some crap on your machine are a lot less if you use this browser over internet explorer.

now,….i’ve seen this kinda crap for years now. either being deployed to me, me having to supervise it, or just with friends. i thought for the longest time that it was just a california thing, but i guess not?

of course i am right on the bubble with the age group they are talking about here…..but least i was born in the 1979! HA! more importantly, guess what i did during my summers in high school? well, i worked for a landscaping company….as well as a moving company one summer, filled in at a roofing company when i could…..but on top of all of that?…..i still cut both my parents lawns, my grandparents, and even the neighbor’s sometimes.

point is, i found it hilarious how they brought up how cutting grass isn’t gonna get ya into harvard. oh darn.

then again, with the expectations some ppl have, i am not so sure pruning yourself for harvard is even the best route either. this segment touched on something awesome…..something to the effects of these asshats expecting to be CEO by friday. THAT’S NOT EVEN AN EXAGGERATION! hahahah, seriously….i know these ppl!!!!! that think they are gonna be making 6 figures right out of college. all cause mommy said they deserved it! *falls over and dies*

next….let me touch on some of the examples of this bullshit i have had to deal with over the years. at my last job..our wonderful HR dept employed a full time employee to teach these “understanding and bettering yourself” classes. what were some of these classes? shit like, “adapting to change” and “understanding people learning styles”…..*shoots myself in the head*

the worst part? one of my yearly objectives was to take one of these classes. huh? for what? to justify the salary you are paying the adult pre-school teacher? what’s even better….is i completed that objective. not on my own doing, but because our entire dept. was forced to take the ever enlightening “adapting to change” class…all cause they canned our bosses. it was highly fulfilling, let me tell ya. i think i spent the 4 hours reading the jokes inside the laffy taffy they provided like some kinda dog treat.

next…it’s equally hilarious how they touch on the losers living with their parents AFTER college, just in case they can’t make it. ….living with their parents, claiming that car their parents bought is theirs, or the countless other bib spill wipe up’s their dumbshit parents are doing for them about 10 years past what they should be…

oh, it’s part of our “culture”….no, it’s fuckin’ lazy and you need a foot in the ass. but nevermind the countless spoiled brat douche bags still sucking momma tit i’ve run across here….one tops them all!

i had one assistant a couple of years ago. of course….she still lived at home….or her parents offered to pay her rent if she moved out, or something like that (i can’t remember). a week after i hired her (the pool was thin at the time….trust me)…she comes rolling up in a new toyota hybrid. i didn’t really think much about it at the time…..but now that i think about it, i wouldn’t doubt if her parents bought it for her as a gift for actually getting a real job. anyways, she was your typical dumbshit 23 year old that always loved to stick out her little tits to try and get her way……*rolls eyes*

needless to say, i think she lasted like 2 months. until my boss came to me asking why she had so much overtime. i was confused…but hey, i wasn’t a damn babysitter….so how should i know? i looked at her timesheet a little closer….and BAM! SOOOO BUSTED!!!!

she would clock out for lunch, come back to her desk for a half hour…..clock back in…..and then take off and go out for a 2 hour lunch. ummm, this is okay….ummm, where? needless to say, all we did was had security pull one tape of her doing this….and showed it to her with a big….”NOW YOUR PRINCESS ASS IS MUTHAPHUCKIN FIRED! GET OUT!

hehe…i secretly loved that.

but whatever….i guess my point here is: this is half the shit that pisses me off when it comes to my work life. i get ragged on here and there, every now and again, and know what? i am better cause of it. i’d rather have someone fuckin’ hate me….than have them tip-toe around me like i might break down and cry if i don’t get a gold star.

that said….at my current job? i can wear flip flops, an ipod,…..and sure we have beerfests…..we get off every other friday…..there’s a foosball table, a flat screen with a nintendo wii…..a skate ramp……nevermind, you get the point….

….but what am i surrounded with (for the most part)? abuncha whiney ass lazy spoiled brats that think they deserve the world just cause they exist. it makes me sick.

ps. zappos is a shitty example for this segment to use…..wanna know why they need to make the place fun? cause it’s out in the middle of nowhereville 150 degree every day hellhole nevada!!!! duh….no wonder you need to keep ppl happy!
